Working closely with the Film Commission team, we planned a six-month video production schedule focused on both existing visual assets and strategic supplemental footage. Each video was designed to showcase one distinct location or theme, including:
Historic neighborhoods like Driftwood and Deuces Live
Activity-driven segments like underwater filming and kiteboarding
Iconic events like the Sugar Sand Festival
Signature landmarks like the Vinoy Hotel and Skyway Bridge
We combined new cinematography with existing B-roll, VO options, and ambient sound to create short, accessible edits tailored for digital distribution on YouTube and social media.

This large-scale content initiative was built as a continuation of our earlier work with Visit St. Pete/Clearwater and Film Commission, where we organized and digitized their media library into a centralized Digital Asset Manager (DAM) system. That foundational effort made it possible to efficiently access and repurpose existing footage for this new campaign.
Prior to producing the videos, our team supported the Film Commission by conducting a full audit and restructuring of their Reel-Scout database—a resource for filmmakers scouting in Florida. We developed a custom spreadsheet to identify outdated listings, then conducted site visits to capture new photos, video, and metadata for each location. These updates enhanced the usability and accuracy of the Film Commission’s official library, laying the groundwork for the video campaign to follow.

As part of the final delivery, we leveraged our familiarity with the DMO’s Digital Asset Manager (DAM) system to identify and source the most visually compelling stills for each video’s thumbnail, often using original photography from our own archived contributions. This ensured strong visual cohesion across the series while aligning with brand quality standards.
To enhance viewer retention and guide audience flow, we also designed a branded end card that reflected the Film Commission’s visual identity. The layout was built with YouTube’s clickable overlay zones in mind, allowing the “Subscribe” button and video suggestions to land perfectly within interactive regions for both desktop and mobile viewing.

The campaign successfully positioned the St. Pete/Clearwater region as a diverse and film-ready destination. The video series earned 30,000+ collective views on YouTube, and individual features were reshared across Film St. Pete/Clearwater’s Facebook and Instagram platforms, broadening their reach to both industry professionals and general audiences.
By delivering a scalable library of location-based content, we helped the Film Commission boost digital engagement, streamline filmmaker scouting efforts, and reinforce the area’s reputation as one of Florida’s top production-friendly destinations.
