A Visual Story of Clearwater’s Iconic White Sands and Vibrant Beachfront Culture

We partnered with Visit St. Pete/Clearwater to produce a lifestyle-driven photo series capturing the energy, warmth, and beauty of Clearwater Beach. From boardwalks and bike trails to hammocks, lifeguard towers, and Pier 60 sunsets, the imagery was crafted to evoke a sun-soaked escape. Designed for use across social, web, and print, each photo contributes to a versatile media library while supporting broader destination marketing efforts with vibrant, people-focused content.

We aimed to go beyond typical beach photos—capturing motion, lifestyle, and environmental storytelling. Our shoot included:

  • Morning, midday, and sunset coverage for a full-day lifestyle capture

  • Compositionally strong framing for DAM usability and social storytelling

  • On-location scouting to align with DMO brand goals and active media needs

  • Emphasis on diversity of activity: biking, volleyball, hammock lounging, beach patrol, and scenic vistas

The shoot included a lifeguard detail series capturing beach patrol vehicles and tower branding under ideal lighting. We documented hammocks & palm trees through candid moments and compositionally strong hero shots that highlight the area’s relaxed vibe. Sunset at Pier 60 delivered iconic closing imagery for versatile, multi-platform use. Finally, our boardwalk & bikes coverage emphasized Clearwater Beach’s walkability and authentic visitor engagement with local businesses.

The photography played a central role in the campaign’s visual identity and promotional success. The images were used across Visit St. Pete/Clearwater’s digital ecosystem, including paid social ads, organic Instagram and Facebook posts, blog features, and email marketing. Visually, the content helped position the campaign with a tone that was both approachable and aspirational—emphasizing adventure, community, and the ease of Gulf Coast travel.

These assets helped generate excitement around the Airstream giveaway, and also reinforced VSPC’s brand positioning as a playful-yet-premium destination for lifestyle travelers. By pairing real-world energy with elevated visual composition, the imagery created lasting impressions that extended beyond the campaign timeline and continued to support the DMO’s broader marketing goals.

The Clearwater Beach image series gained broad visibility across major national and international media outlets, including The Times (UK), Good Morning America, The Times Tribune, San Antonio Magazine, and The Family Traveller.

Locally, the visuals were adopted by key hospitality partners such as The Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach and Tampa Airport Marriott, and featured prominently throughout the Visit St. Pete/Clearwater website and digital campaigns.

The images were also published globally across 50+ websites, including multilingual travel articles and destination guides in German, Chinese, Dutch, Korean, and more—solidifying the campaign’s international reach and market resonance.
